Sabuj Sathi projects launched for Uttar and Dakshin Dinajpur

KOLKATA: Mamata Banerjee today launched the Sabuj Sathi projects in the districts of the state-Uttar and Dakshin Dinajpur.

Sabuj Sathi a brain child of West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is a project that has taken up the mission of gifting bicycles to all school-going children in the state.

Alongside Sabuj Sathi taking off at the two districts there were also a list of benefits announced at Uttar Dinajpur. The benefits included 100% rural electrification in the district, new schools, motels, girl’s hostel, new roads, flood and cyclone centres and other such completed projects.

Banerjee also laid foundation stones of a cluster of projects ranging from Karma Tirthas to food preservation godowns.

Among the projects that were inaugurated today at Dakshin Dinajpur by the chief minister are the Hili Subal Chandra Bimal Sundari Government College, a circuit House in Buniadpur, relief centres, girl’s hostels, upgraded primary health centre and a cluster of other projects.

Commercial Development Centres under Hand-loom Development projects, Krishi Bhavan, Balurghat youth hostel, road projects and drinking water supply projects were also launched.
