'Sabka Vikas' not possible in Odisha till BJD is in power
BJD vice-president SN Patro, however, said that the MP chief minister should concentrate on his own state where his government was killing farmers.

"The nature has given all resources like water, forest, mineral and rich human resources to Odisha. Still, the state remains poor. 'Sabka Vikas' is not possible as long as BJD is in power in Odisha," Chouhan said.
Chouhan said this while addressing the "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" programme here amidst tight security in the wake of the opposition to his visit by BJD, Congress, AAP and local farmer organisations protesting against the killing of six farmers in police firing in Madhya Pradesh.
"Modiji gives above Rs 400 crore every month for distribution of cheap rice at the rate of Rs 1 a kilogram among poor. The state is availing assistance in all sectors like health, sanitation and others. However, there is no development (Vikas) in the state," he said.
Without naming previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he said, "Earlier, a prime minister was mute. Now, we have a prime minister who works day and night for the development of the country."
BJD vice-president SN Patro, however, said that the MP chief minister should concentrate on his own state where his government was killing farmers.
State Congress president Prasad Harichandan said that Manmohan Singh used to work silently without "making tall talks" as is being done by the present prime minister.
Earlier in the day, several leaders of Congress and AAP were detained by police for their plans to protest during Chouhan's Bargarh visit.
