S Jaishankar to meet Russian foreign minister Lavrov in Moscow on August 27
The visit would happen weeks ahead of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok from September 4 to 6 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the main guest.

"On August 27 in Moscow, Sergey Lavrov will meet with Indian Foreign Minister @DrSJaishankar. They will discuss ways to further advance bilateral cooperation, as well as compare notes on the schedule of upcoming contacts #India," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a tweet.
The visit would happen weeks ahead of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok from September 4 to 6 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the main guest.
The two sides are expected to discuss the details of Prime Minister Modi's visit.
Jaishankar's visit will take place days after National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held talks with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev during which both sides underlined support for principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference of third parties.
The reference of non-interference by third parties is seen as Russia strongly coming out in support of India's position on Jammu and Kashmir after New Delhi revoked the special status of the state.
