A Russian delegation reviewed the progress of work at the Rs 14,000 crore Indo-Russian joint venture Koodamkulam project.

TIRUNELVELI: A Russian delegation reviewed the progress of work at the Rs 14,000 crore Indo-Russian joint venture Koodamkulam project and held discussions with the project Director S K Purohit and other scientists and engineers.
At present, two atomic power reactors, each designed to produce 1000 MW power, are nearing completion at the site. The first one is expected to commence functioning from March, 2009.
