New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said he ideological battle in the country today is against the "RSS trying to impose its version of truth on all" and "discriminating against people" on the basis of caste and religion.

"That RSS has decided that they know the truth of 1.5 billion people... The ideological battle in India today is that. It is not about environment, politics, free media, nothing. That is all superficial. The real fight is that a group of people have suddenly decided, because they have control of the system, they know the truth of everybody in this country," Gandhi said at an event to mark late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's birth anniversary.
