NEW DELHI: The RSS huddle continued for the second day today with top BJP leaders – Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Manohar Parrikar, JP Nadda among others – joining the deliberations being presided over by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Today’s deliberations, RSS sources confided, will be around social and cultural and sector issues. This, sources indicated, may entail discussion on the religious census figures released recently as well as the issue of patel reservation demand in Gujarat among other social issues.

The huddle yesterday deliberated upon the economic issues where RSS affiliate organisations are believed to have presented their views on the prevailing economic situation like the BJP leaders also presenting their take on the situation from the vantage point of the government.

“The way Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh or Bharatiya Kisan Sangh presented their views on economic issues, the BJP representatives also presented their views on the economic issues for a free and fair discussion,” confided a RSS source downplaying the suggestions that the BJP ministers were asked to present their achievements before the RSS gathering for their approval. Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman were also called for the deliberations in the economic issues apart from finance minister Arun Jaitley. TSources suggested that the notes were exchanged about the issues of agrarian crisis and the land acquisition.

However, at the end of the day’s deliberations yesterday, the RSS sough to present a cohesive forward looking approach rooting for improveing “economic growth and development”.

“Economic scenario of Bharat & measures to improve growth and development were discussed. Many constructive suggestions came up,” Dr Manmohan Vaidya, the RSS prachara pramukh, was quoted on the official RSS twitter handle as summing up day’s deliberations yesterday. The huddle is also slated to discuss internal and external security situations, foreign policy related issues and education sector issues in during this three-day conclave.
