KOLKATA: Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has said the ‘RSS has become more aggressive than BJP’ in terms of instigating violence in the state.

Banerjee said she had earlier seen RSS as a ‘social organisation’ but has been proven ‘wrong’. Commenting on the killings of two ex-students of Islampur school in North Dinajpur district, Banerjee said, “RSS is doing all these. I never thought they were capable instigating this kind of violence. I had an idea that RSS does some work for the society but now I am seeing, it is worse than BJP.”

RSS had already sent a legal notice to the Trinamool for its leaders’ comments accusing the organisation for the death of two students in the North Dinajpur clash. On the falling value of rupee against US dollar and rising price of petrol, the Bengal chief minister said there has been a ‘complete economic disaster’ in the country. “We are witnessing a complete economic disaster here in the country. If there is no economic stability, how can there be political stability?”
