RSS has spread its presence in West Bengal with Mamata Banerjee's help: CPI-M
CPI-M state secretary Mohammed Salim blamed West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for the Murshidabad violence, alleging her collaboration with the RSS, which he claims has expanded its presence in Bengal significantly under her rule.

"Banerjee is close to RSS and RSS supports her. In the past few years, it has been spreading its strength and branches in Bengal like never before," Salim claimed. "Every day, there is some drama unfolding by BJP and Trinamool. In the drama between the Bengal BJP and Trinamool, the real script has been written by RSS. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat recently visited the state and now you can see the situation," he said, adding both these parties are taking Bengal to a situation where "unity, harmony, justice and everything have been attacked. We have to change direction".
CPI-M DEMANDS JUDICIAL PROBE
Salim demanded a judicial probe into the violence. "A judicial probe will not be demanded by BJP or Trinamool. There should be proper rehabilitation and compensation of these common people," Salim said. "It is not a fight between a temple and mosque. Look at Bangladesh, what happened? We will not allow Murshidabad to be a place where minorities are diminished."
