During his visit to the Reshimbagh-based memorial, Modi paid tributes to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and the second sarsanghchalak, M.S. Golwalkar. In a message penned in Hindi, he wrote that the memorials embody the values of Indian culture, nationalism, and the organization.
"The memorial of the two strong pillars of RSS is an inspiration to lakhs of swayamsevaks who have dedicated themselves to the service of the nation," Modi stated. He further expressed his sentiments, saying, "I am overwhelmed to visit the Smruti Mandir, which cherishes the memories of Param Pujaniya Dr Hedgewar and Pujya Guruji."
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, former general secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari accompanied Modi during his visit to the RSS administrative headquarters.
PM Modi visits Deekshabhoomi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur, where Dr. B.R. Ambedkar embraced Buddhism in 1956, and paid homage to his mortal remains.This marks Modi’s first visit to Deekshabhoomi since 2017.
