RSS chief would hold strings of J&K government: Congress

JAMMU: Congress today claimed that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat would be "holding the strings" of a BJP-PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Though we wish them (PDP-BJP) best of luck, but we don't think that this proposed government would complete its tenure, the strings of this government would be in the hands of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat," Congress spokesman Salman Soz told PTI.

He said both the parties had contested the Assembly elections against each other and now they were ready to come together to form the government.

"Now this is up to the people to decide as the same parties that contested the elections against each other are now joining hands to form the government in the state," he said.

Soz said both the parties had made compromises with their ideology to form the coalition in the state.

"It is obvious that to come together both these parties might have compromised with their ideology."

Soz said the people of the state who were affected by last year's devastating floods were in need of a stable government but the upcoming coalition would not be able to mitigate their problems.
