RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on seven-day visit to Northeast India

GUWAHATI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat embarked on a seven day visit to Northeast India.

Bhagwat reached Guwahati on Tuesday, he will meet elected pracharak of seven northeastern states in his visit.

A senior RSS leader, who do not want to be named told ET that RSS chief would visit Arunachal Pradesh. " He will meeting with pracharaks of the region. "


The leader added, " Bhagwat is likely to visit Manipur and Nagaland. Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal is likely to meet Bhagwat. "

The leader added that there is no public rally in the itinerary.

The visit has come at a time as Assam is going to assembly polls early next year. BJP led government has started massive preparation to retain power in Assam.
