NEW DELHI : Seeking to give a push to efforts for a Third Front, Left leaders Debabrata Biswas and Abani Roy on Sunday met JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda here.
Biswas, Forward Bloc General Secretary, and Roy, senior RSP leader, drove to Gowda's residence for a dinner meeting and discussed the current political scenario.
The leaders are understood to have discussed, among other things, BSP's unilateral announcement to contest all 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, sources said.
Gowda is likely to meet BSP chief Mayawati in Lucknow tomorrow.
The JD(S) chief had earlier this month held a series of meetings with CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat, CPI leaders A B Bardhan and D Raja, RLD chief Ajit Singh and BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra.
