The Kerala government was expecting private investments to the tune of Rs10,000 crore in the near future.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government was expecting private investments to the tune of Rs.10,000 crore in the near future, State Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem said here today.
Various projects were in different stages of consideration, Kareem told repoters. Investment climate was improving in the state, he claimed.
Discussions were progressing to set up a Petro Chemical complex at Kasargod and a few companies had evinced interest to set up the complex, he said.
A satellite unit of National Institute of Fashion Technology would be established in Kannur, he said adding Rs three crores have been earmarked for this.
A proposal to set up an Industrial park at Adimali in Idukki district was under the consideration of the government, he said.
