Rs 3.50 cr worth flood relief measures sent to Tiruvallur district

ERODE: Relief material worth Rs 3.50 crore, which include bedsheets, bedspreads, mats, carpets, biscuits, rice and water packets given by people here have been despatched to flood affected Tiruvallur district.

Environment Minister Thoppu N Venkatachalam, who arranged for the dispatch of the materials, said three lorry loads were despatched in addition to the six already sent.

Erode District Collect Dr S Prabakar was also present.
