Robert Vadra issue: Legal course better then making noise before cameras, says Congress

New Delhi: Congress today appeared unfazed over PILs being filed for probe into Robert Vadra's business links with DLF saying that it is good that a legal route is being followed instead of making allegations before the media.

Hitting back at Arvind Kejriwal, the party at the same time indicated that it has enough proof against alleegd illegalities committed by members of his team with party spokesperson Renuka Chowdhary promising to come out with details in six months.

"It is good that it happened. It is better if legal course is adopted. It is better than their (Arvind Kejriwal) making noise over the issue unnecessarily before the cameras," Chowhdary told reporters.

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today granted the Centre three weeks time to file its preliminary objection regarding maintainability of a writ petition that sought a probe into allegations levelled by IAC member Arvind Kejriwal against Vadra, son in law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

The Congress spokesperson also referred to a piece of land granted to an organisation of activist Prashant Bhushan in Shimla saying she will soon tell the details about it.

Union Minister Rajiv Shukla had on Wednesday demanded an inquiry into the allotment of tea garden land in Himachal Pradesh to Bhushan alleging "gross violation of all rules and regulations".

AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said that Shukla is a minister and a responsible person and hence "there must be some basis to what he would have said".

Chowdhary, meanwhile criticised India Against Corruption for its decision to hold protests tomorrow on the Vadra issue saying the figures given by Kejriwal's organisation are still suspect.
