Chaos prevailed at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here where majority of the victims of the serial blasts were taken for treatment.

NEW DELHI: Chaos prevailed at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here where majority of the victims of the serial blasts were taken for treatment.

According to hospital sources, a total of nine people have succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, taking the toll to 18.

"A total of 115 injured people were brought to the hospital. Eight people were brought dead and two succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Thiry five people are reported to be in critical condition while 15 people are discharged after giving medical aid," CMO of RML hospital Dr S K Sharma said.

"Five to six serious cases are being operated upon now. Patients have been brought in with critical injuries, some with injuries in face, chest and abdomen," he said, adding that majority of the injured had pellets in their body.
