RLD threatens to cut water and power supply to Delhi
Ajit Singh had called for the agitation after the Urban Development Ministry had abruptly cut water and power supply to his residence in central Delhi’s 12 Tuglaq Road.

Demanding that the government bungalow be converted into a memorial for his father, former Prime Minister Charan Singh, Ajit Singh placed the onus of controlling the agitation on the Centre.
Ajit Singh had called for the agitation after the Urban Development Ministry had abruptly cut water and power supply to his residence in central Delhi’s 12 Tuglaq Road. On Thursday, his party supporters and police clashed violently in Muradnagar of western UP. Many agitators were injured in the pitched battle.
“It is unfortunate the way things have turned out...The demand is to make it (the bungalow) a memorial,” Singh told ET. He alleged that the UP government had shown insensitivity in dealing with agitators. According to him, his supporters had announced a few months ago that they would cut off power and water supply if the bungalow was not converted into a memorial and the government should have woken up then.
