Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has summoned all the 24 party MPs from Bihar and Jharkhnad to New Delhi a week ahead of the trust vote in the Parliament.

PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has summoned all the 24 party MPs from Bihar and Jharkhnad to New Delhi a week ahead of the trust vote in the Parliament.

Patna MP and RJD Chief Whip in Lok Sabha, Ram Kripal Yadav, has already left for New Delhi and is likely to issue a whip to attend the two-day special session of the House commencing from July 21 and vote in favour of the UPA, party sources said.

RJD spokesman Shyam Rajak told PTI here today that all MPs would attend the special session and would vote en-bloc in favour of the UPA government headed by Manmohan Singh.

RJD has 24 MPs of which 22 MPs belong to Bihar and two are from Jharkhand, Rajak said.

Two RJD MPs from Bihar - Siwan strongman, Mohammed Shahabuddin and Madhepura MP, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav both convicted in criminal cases are in jail. Both are entitled to cast votes as they are sitting MPs.

In the last presidential elections, the Siwan MP had gone to New Delh to cast vote.

Party sources said that summoning of party MPs from Bihar and Jharkhand a week ahead of the trust vote, which has been necessitated following withdrawal of Left support to the government, was a precautionary step to avoid last minute anxiety to ensure the presence of the MPs during the trust vote.
