RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s ‘S2 to T2’ politics

PATNA: Amid the widely held perception that RJD chief Lalu Prasad is grooming his younger son Tejaswi, the May 15 parivartan rally is being touted as an event that will see his political anointment. RJD has put up posters, billboards and hoardings in Patna, carrying pictures of Tejaswi and his elder brother Tej Pratap.

Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), which is opposed to dynastic politics, is taking a swipe at Lalu for promoting his sons. The Bihar chief minister remarked: “The rally is for change in leadership, from S2 to T2.” S2 means Lalu’s two brothers-in-law, Sadhu Yadav and Subhas Yadav, and T2 means Tejaswi and Tej Pratap.
