Revision of electoral rolls of Delhi to commence on October 15
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Election Commission has announced that it will conduct a special summary revision of electoral rolls of all the constituencies in the city, enabling inclusion of voters who attained 18 years of age with reference to January 1, 2015 as the qualifying date.

In keeping with the directives of Election Commission of India, the revision would commence with the publication of draft electoral rolls on October 15, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vijay Dev said in a release here today.

Anyone can suggest claims and objections from October 15 till November 10, 2014.

The department's arrangements include special campaign with booth level agents of political parties for receiving claims and objections on October 19 and November 2, 2014.

Dev said the claims and objections would be disposed by November 20, 2014.

The department has slated the final publication of electoral rolls on January 5, 2015.
