Review meetings on the black side may have been called: PM Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI: While demonetisation has created logistical challenges for the government, Modi is relishing the pain that it has caused to those with fake currency notes and black money.

In one of the review meetings, he is learnt to have jocularly said scamsters, black marketeers, black money hoarders and fake money generators across the border were also likely to be holding ‘review’ meetings to deal with the government’s surgical strike against black money holders.

Venkaiah Naidu keeping a close watch on cash queues
I&B minister Venkaiah Naidu has his way of dealing with difficulties arising out of demonetisation.



He is closely watching the news on the plight of common man. In one such case that exposed a ring operating in parts of the Capital for clogging queues for repeated money exchange, Naidu referred it to the home ministry and asked them to take action against such rackets. The minister also asked his secretary to take up the matter with home secretary.

RBI's Delhi head plays host to two CMs
While both Bengal and Delhi CMs sought to play politics over notes ban, the general manager of RBI’s Delhi office did not lose sight of his responsibility towards the two CMs standing in queue at the RBI office in Delhi.



He was learnt to have arranged for entry of the CMs’ vehicles and was ready to host them in his office. As part of politicking, both the ministers chose to stay on the street as the GM came down to visit.

SP cancels garlands, Netaji's birthday after train accident
