Review meet in Secretariat is not a new thing: Venkaiah Naidu
COIMBATORE: Joining issue with his critics on his review meeting with officials and ministers in the state secretariat in Chennai recently, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said that was not a new thing.

Inaugurating the 'MODI-fest' here to mark the third anniversary of the Narendra Modi government, Naidu said he had conducted such review meetings when Jayalalithaa was the Chief Minister.

It was not a big issue if a central minister visited the secretariat to know the requirements of the state and shortcomings from the Centre.

Some political parties were making this a big issue now, he said.

Naidu said the Centre was not considering who was ruling the state but will give due respect to the government since the members were elected by the people.
