NEW DELHI: In his New Year message, Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi today called for concerted efforts to protect children from all types of exploitation.

Resolving to uphold the rights of every children, Satyarthi said that he "refuses" to accept any violence against children.

"In 2015, let us resolve to protect our children from all kinds of violence and uphold their rights. I wish a very happy and peaceful new year to all," the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate said in a video message.

Later he tweeted, "2015 resolve. I refuse to accept any violence against our children."

The 60-year-old Satyarthi was jointly awarded the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize 2014 with Pakistani teenage education activist Malala Yousafzai on December 10.
