Reservation quota for Gujjars, Bakarwals, Paharis in J-K, says Home minister Amit Shah
“According to Justice Sharma's commission report, the committee has been set up to examine quota benefits recommended reservation for Gujjar, Bakarwal, Pahari communities and it will be implemented soon.” the minister said.

“According to Justice Sharma's commission report, the committee has been set up to examine quota benefits recommended reservation for Gujjar, Bakarwal, Pahari communities and it will be implemented soon.” the minister said.
He also asked the local public that would it have been possible to get tribal reservation if Articles 370 & 35A were not removed? With the removal of Article 370, minorities, Dalits, tribals and Paharis will get their rights, said Shah.
LG Manoj Sinha also said that the Jammu and Kashmir government has increased scholarships, opened medical colleges and over 100 schools. The central schemes are being implemented on fast bases, highways worth over Rs 1 lakh crore are being made in J&K. This was possible after a historic decision taken by PM Modi in 2019.
“Today's rally and your 'Modi-Modi' chants are answers to those who said if Article 370 will be abrogated, there will be a bloodbath.”
Coming down heavily on the Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah said earlier just three political families used to rule the erstwhile state, but now power is with 30,000 people who were elected to panchayats and district councils through fair elections.
Earlier, all money sent by the Center for J-K's development was usurped by a few but now everything is spent on people's welfare.
