Srinagar: J&K CM Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said his Cabinet has rationalised the reservation policy in the best possible way and fulfilled the promises made by the ruling National Conference in its manifesto.

He said an extensive exercise was carried out for more than a year for the people of J&K, as promised by his party. "We have tried to fulfil our promises made to our people and rationalise reservation and ensure that no injustice is done to anyone. We took some time to work on this because it is a sensitive issue on which it was easy to do politics as you have witnessed here," Abdullah said after the Cabinet meeting.

"Now this file will go to LG sahib and till the time this file goes to him, we cannot say more. It won't be good to discuss minutes of the Cabinet meeting before signing it and sending it to LG sahib," said Abdullah.
