Request for Ajmal's plea to be heard in Crime Branch: Maria
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch will on Thursday move an application before a magistrate's court requesting the magistrate to hear the arrested Mumbai attacks terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Iman's custody in the crime branch itself.
"He (the terrorist) cannot be taken to the court due to security reasons and thus the Crime Branch will request the magistrate to hear the remand in all probability in the Crime Branch office," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria told media.
Ajmal, the sole terrorist of the group of ten to be arrested, has been in police custody since November 27 and has been kept in an undisclosed location.
