India is celebrating its 69th Republic Day today and has showcased its military prowess, culture and diversity in the presence of leaders of the 10 ASEAN nations who have attended the event as chief guests.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) today received all-round praise after they posted a video showing their jawans marching on ice-laden Himalayas with tri-colour on the occasion of 69th Republic Day.

The video claimed that ITBP soldiers hoisted the Indian national flag at a height of 18000 ft in a freezing temperature of minus 30 degrees Celsius.
