Report on Jammu terror attacks sent to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

NEW DELHI: Terror attacks in Jammu, which claimed 10 lives, is likely to be raised by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his meeting with Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in New York as a report on the incident has been sent by Home Ministry to officials accompanying him in the US.

A detailed report mentioning as to how three terrorists entered India from across the border, their strike in a police station and subsequently in an army camp, the arms and ammunition carried by them and casualties has been sent to Washington where the Prime Minister is currently on a visit.

"We have sent the report on terror attacks in Jammu to officials accompanying the Prime Minister," a senior Home Ministry officials said.

After attending a Summit meeting with President Barack Obama in Washington, the Prime Minister will travel to New York where he would address the UN General Assembly on Saturday. He is expected to meet his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on September 29.

Dressed in army fatigues, terrorists stormed a police station and then an army camp in Jammu region killing 10 people including an army officer in twin 'fidayeen' attacks after they sneaked in from across the border yesterday.
