Repolling in 9 Delhi polling booths

The EC orders repolling in nine polling stations in Delhi.

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission has ordered repolling in nine polling stations of three constituencies in the national capital.

Following the EC order, repolling will be held tomorrow in six booths in Malvya Nagar, two booths in Burari and in one booth in Matiala assembly segment.

"The Election Commission was not satisfied with the polling in these booths," Delhi's Deputy Chief Electoral officer J K Sharma .

Sharma said repolling has been ordered as in some booths as the Electronic Voting Machines did not work properly and in the case of other booths, polling was not held at the locations specified by the Commission.

In Malvya Nagar, repolling will be held in booths 59, 60, 62, 126, 127 while in Burari repolling has been ordered in booths 14 and 72. Repolling will also be held in booth number 168 in Matiala constituency.

Elections for the Delhi Assembly was held on November 29.
