Remarks on Sonia Gandhi reflect badly on PM Narendra Modi: Congress

NEW DELHI: Congress has demanded the resignation of Union minister Giriraj Singh for his racist comment on Sonia Gandhi and said such remarks were a reflection on the Prime Minister as well.

"It appears that continuous quest to appease Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made him lose his balance. Such remarks are reflective of lack of moral fibre in BJP and its cadre," Congress media cell chief Randeep Surjewala said in New Delhi on Thursday.

Congress said the fact many ministers have been making series of controversial remarks raised a question on the political culture of BJP itself.
