Relationship with India very strong and positive: US official

WASHINGTON: America's relationship with India is very strong and moving in a positive trajectory, a senior US official here has said ahead of the next week's India-US Strategic Dialogue.

"We believe our relationship with India is very strong and very positive, and moving in a positive trajectory," the State Department spokesman, Mark Toner, told reporters at his daily news conference.

"We look forward, obviously, to next week's very important meeting as another opportunity to engage with our Indian counterparts," Toner said in response to a question.

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna would lead a high-power Indian delegation including several Cabinet Ministers for the third India-US Strategic Dialogue schedule to be held in Washington on June 13.
