Rekha expresses happiness over Rajya Sabha nomination

MUMBAI: "I hope to reach your heart again and make you all happy, just like you all have made me happy every moment."

This is how yesteryear Bollywoood diva Rekha reacted to her nomination as a member of the Rajya Sabha.

The 57-year-old national award winning actress has been nominated to the Upper House along with cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and industrialist Anu Aga.

The actress, who gave hits like "Khubsoorat", "Muqaddar Ka Sikander", "Silsila", "Umrao Jaan", "Utsav", continues to remain an enigma for her fans and is fiercely protective of her private life.

Rekha is still active in films and was last seen in late director Rajkanwar's "Sadiyaan" in 2010. She also played Hrithik Roshan's mother and grandmother in "Koi Mil Gaya" and "Krrish".
