Reforms to be introduced in Rajasthan Public Service Commission
JAISALMER: Several reforms will be introduced in Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to improve its system quality in years to come, newly-appointed chairman of the commission Lalit K Panwar said.

Effective steps will be taken to prevent use of unfair means during exams and clear pendency of legal cases. Exam calendar will be fixed and quality of the RPSC's functioning will be improved to the level of UPSC, Panwar told PTI.

Panwar, a former IAS officer, said services of legal experts will be taken to clear the pending cases related to RPSC in courts.

"We will bring good days of RPSC back," he said.

Panwar said the commission will install mobile phone jammers at examination centres to prevent candidates from cheating using high-tech means.

RPSC's image suffered a setback in recent years after cases of paper leak, in which former chairman Habib Khan Gauran was also alleged to be involved, came to light.

Special Operations Group of Rajasthan Police last year busted a gang involved in leaking the paper of RAS Prelims-2013 on complaint filed by RPSC itself.

After investigation, the SOG booked Gauran on charges of leaking a paper, allegedly to help his daughter who secured the 10th position in RJS exam.
