Reasonable restrictions in J&K imperative to ensure Right to Life: NSA Ajit Doval

Indian NSA is of opinion that Right to Life is the most important human right and safety of people is most important priority of the Government and therefore reasonable restrictions in J&K are necessary for peace and protection of life.

In an interaction on Saturday NSA explained in detail background of Article 370. Constitutent Assembly of India had representatives from all over the country, including J&K. Constitution making sovereign right of Nation.

"Article 1 of Indian Constitution included J&K as a State of the Union. Art 370 only article out of 395 Articles in Constitution, which was temporary," Doval said, adding, "Constitution making and Amendment is totally an internal matter."


"Accession of J&K predates inclusion of Article 370 in Constitution. Pakistan never objected to inclusion of J&K as State of the Union or as an integral part of India in Constitution," pointed out the NSA.

Article 370 has been amended in past and Art 370 did not give Special Status but ensured Special Discrimination, pointed out the NSA.

"Pakistan efforts at creating turmoil in J&K shows desperation as they have lost face in front of those whom they sold false dreams. Pakistan's Op Topac used Article 370 as basis to create separatist mindset and State support for terrorism. This basis stands demolished."

As many as 42000 lives lost due to cross border terrorism sponsored by Pakistan.

Pakistan sponsored terrorists are making all efforts to prevent restoration of normalcy. It is evident by killing of civilians and putting threatening posters. On September 6, terrorists targeted apple traders family, including 3 years old girl in Sopore on instructions of Pak handlers, alleged sources.
