Rashtriya Lok Dal workers demand quick relief to farmers in Uttar Pradesh
Demanding quick relief for the farmers affected by untimely rains and hailstorm, RLD workers staged a demonstration outside the divisional commissioner's office.

The incharge of RLD in western UP, Raj Kumar Sangwan said that officials concerned with relief works would be "gheraoed" if any negligence or partiality surfaces on their part.
"Around 20 farmers have died here of shock or committed suicide due to crop loss but yet the union and state governments have not provided any financial support to their families," Sangwan claimed.
"The protesters submitted a memorandum to the divisional commissioner today in which they demanded quick relief to the farmers," he said.
Over the suicide of farmer Yogendra, who jumped off a mobile tower in Kharkhoda on April 25, Sangwan demanded that action should be taken against accused officials.
"Deaths of farmers could have been prevented if the state government had waived off electricity bills and crop loans and provided relief to the farmers on time," he said.
