Ranjib Biswal denies alleged conspiracy with Lalit Modi
"I will give up for life all association with cricket if anyone can show any proof of any correspondence I have had with Lalit Modi," Biswal told ET.

"I will give up for life all association with cricket if anyone can show any proof of any correspondence I have had with Lalit Modi," Biswal told ET.
A newspaper report on Sunday had alleged that a leaked Modi email suggested that Biswal, along with former Mumbai police commissioner Arup Patnaik, had been roped in by Modi to influence the Supreme Court’s verdict in the matter of match fixing in the IPL.
A complaint to this effect is said to have been made by Neeraj Gunde, said to be a close friend of Srinivasan, to the law ministry, which in turn forwarded it to the principal private secretary of the Chief Justice of India in May, according to the report.
Biswal, a Rajya Sabha MP and Congressman, dismissed the charges as completely baseless. "I have never ever met Arup Patnaik," he said. Biswal was replaced as IPL chairman by Congressman Rajiv Shukla in April.
