Rampal's general health condition is fine, doctors say

PANCHKULA: The general health condition of controversial Haryana ' godman' Rampal, who was arrested by police following a fierce operation at Satlok Ashram in Ambala on Wednesday evening, is fine, according to doctors who examined him after his arrest.

Rampal had been evading his appearance in court citing poor health since November 3 when Punjab and Haryana high court had initiated contempt proceedings against him.

Rampal and his two supporters were brought to the civil hospital here in sector 6 for medical examination during late night hours after his arrest.

Rampal's medico legal report (MLR), exclusively accessed by The Times of India, revealed that his general condition is fine.

According to the report, Rampal suffers from hypertension and complained of headache.

Else, his general condition was stated to fine and there was no fresh injury mark on his body.

Sources in the hospital told TOI that Rampal was quite active and was quick to respond to queries made during the medical examination.

Heavy police deployment was made at the hospital before Rampal and his men reached there at 1.05am.

Three team of doctors drawn from Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad civil hospitals accompanied Rampal from the ashram to the hospital.

Inspector Ajay Kumar SHO of Barwala(Hisar) police station brought Rampal for medical examination.

Initially he was taken to the emergency ward, but later he was shifted to the general ward.

Meanwhile, Haryana DGP SN Vashisht and other senior police officers also reached the hospital.
