Ramdev dubs Rahul Gandhi as social media 'Pappu'

INDORE: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday ridiculed Congress party national vice-president Rahul Gandhi calling him 'foolish' and a social media boy. He was addressing a voters' awareness programme at Badnawar in Dhar district on Saturday.

"Rahul Gandhi Bhondu aur social media ka Pappu hain," said the Yoga guru adding that while Rahul was a novice, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was simply great. Taking potshots at Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Baba Ramdev dubbed the PM as a servant of World Bank who has now turned into the servant of Sonia Gandhi.

"Congress is the party of foreigners," said the Yoga guru adding that till the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections are not over, he would not be going back to Patanjali Yoga Peeth in Haridwar.

Earlier, at a similar programme in Ratlam, Baba Ramdev lauded the anointment of Narendra Modi as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate and said Modi as a prime minister would change the destiny of the nation.

"While Modi is the first choice as best PM, MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the first choice as best CM for MP," he added.
