NEW DELHI: The Ram Temple trust and senior members of the sangh parivar have made it clear that none of the opposition leaders or CMs, except UP’s, have been invited to the event. Not even BJP chief JP Nadda or any Union minister have been invited yet, those in know of the matter said.

“The only concern is that not one rule of social distancing norms is flouted,” VHP working president Alok Kumar told ET. VHP and RSS have specifically asked their cadres to not come to Ayodhya on August 5. VHP general secretary Milind Parande told ET that invitees have been asked to reach Ayodhya just a night before the event.

The sources said since the focus is on saints, hence only 10 RSS-VHP leaders have been invited.
