Ram mandir is not a forgotten issue: Suresh Joshi, RSS
NAGPUR: RSS has not forgotten its commitment to construct a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, but it cannot launch a movement now as the issue is before the Supreme Court, Suresh Joshi, general secretary of the organisation, said on Sunday.

“The Ram mandir is not a forgotten issue,” Joshi said a day after his third consecutive re-election to the No. 2 position of RSS, “But it is in SC. Hence, we can’t start an agitation now, but we shall see in future.” Joshi, who has been an RSS pracharak for over 40 years, secured a third term in a row as general secretary of the organisation amid speculation that he would be replaced by joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.

Joshi retained the old team with a few changes. Bhagaiah was appointed the fourth joint general secretary, a post that fell vacant after KC Kannan was sacked from the post after he got married. Bhagaiah was heading Sangh’s intellectual wing.
