Rajya Sabha monsoon session prorogued

NEW DELHI: The monsoon session of Rajya Sabha was today prorogued by the President.

The upper house was adjourned sine die on August 12.

"The Rajya Sabha, which adjourned sine die on August 12, has been prorogued by the President today," Rajya Sabha Secretariat said in a statement.

The Upper House approved 14 legislations, including the much awaited GST Bill, passed a unanimous resolution on the prevailing situation in Kashmir and debated other major issues during the "highly productive" monsoon session.
