Rajnath Singh visits Jammu and Kashmir CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in AIIMS

NEW DELHI: Home Minister Rajnath Singh today met Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in AIIMS here, where is undergoing treatment.

Singh enquired the health of Sayeed and wished him speedy recovery, an official said.

The Home Minister also interacted with the doctors in AIIMS to know the health condition of 79-year-old Sayeed, who was also Union Home Minister in the V P Singh government.

The Chief Minister was admitted in AIIMS on December 24 after he complained of uneasiness at his residence in Srinagar and was flown to Delhi in a state aircraft.

Sayeed's condition is stated to be stable.

He had taken over as Chief Minister of a PDP-BJP alliance government in March this year.
