After reviewing a high-level meeting, which will be attended by Direction General of Police Rajeev Kumar and other officials, Chief Secretary Sudhir Prasad said, Singh would be informed about the initiatives being taken against extremists.

Works done under Saranda Action Plan (SAP) would also be told to the Union Home Minister, an official release quoting Prasad said here.

The SAP was initiated by former Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh with a hope to clear out Maoists from the dense forests.

A couple of years ago, Ramesh had inaugurated a few PCC roads, distributed radios and solar lamps among other as part of the SAP in the tribal hamlets.
