Rajnath Singh speaks like a party leader, says Partha Chatterjee
KOLKATA: Criticising Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for his comment on the state's law and order situation, West Bengal Education and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee today said he spoke like a party leader, rather than a central minister.

"Rajnath Singh spoke like a party leader and not like a central minister. Was he trying to please his party workers?" Chatterjee told reporters.

"Law and order situation in Bengal is far better than other states," he said.

Chatterjee also slammed the Union Home Minister for his comments on Teesta water sharing treaty, describing it as "uncalled for".

"He should not have spoken about Teesta water sharing treaty without consulting the state government," he said.
