NEW DELHI: Home Minister Rajnath Singh today parried questions about whether he would be projected as BJP's chief ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh.

"Aap hum se naraz kyun hain? (Why are you angry with me?" he said at a press conference when asked whether he would be projected by BJP as its chief ministerial face.

When further pressed and told that he was the tallest BJP leader in Uttar Pradesh where assembly elections are due early next year, Singh again skirted the issue, saying "Main aap ko naraz nahi karna chahta hoon (I don't want to annoy you)."
