Rajkot signs MoU to beautify the city

RAJKOT: Rajkot Municipal Corporation on Saturday signed an MoU to beautify the city. Under the MoU, which was signed this evening, nearly Rs 3 crore which would be spent on making the city green.

Rajkot has 12 percent green area. The MoU, signed with industrialists, NGOs, intends to add at least another 9 per cent to this figure.

Under the beautification campaign, nearly 1,10,000 trees would be planted in 24 kms area of the city. RMC Commissioner, Dinesh Brahmabhatt, Mayor, Sandhyaben Vyas were among those present on the occasion.
