Rajkot bypoll material burnt in Congress office by unidentified people: Police
Congress party's flags, banners and materials related to Rajkot by-polls, were allegedly burnt by some unidentified people in a Congress office.

"The party's flags, banners and pamphlets were torched in ward number one's Congress office by some unidentified people," Gandhigram police station Sub-Inspector K N Lathiya said.
"Congress ward President Girirajsinh Jadeja has lodged a complaint in this regard and further investigation is on," Lathiya said.
Meanwhile, Congress state union General Secretary Jasvantsinh Bhatti alleged that BJP leader Vijay Rupani's supporters were behind the incident.
"Law and order situation in Rajkot has deteriorated and We have asked police commissioner Mohan Jha to arrest the responsible persons behind the incident, if failed, we would stage sit-in in front of Rupani's residence," Bhatti said.
While BJP city unit president Bheekha Vasoya ridiculed Bhatti's allegation and said, "BJP has nothing to do with the incident and Congress is trying to defame Vijay Rupani ahead of Rajkot West by-polls".
BJP's Vijay Rupani is contesting the Rajkot (West) bye-elections on October 15 against Jayantibhai Kalariya of the Congress.
