Rajiv Shukla donates Rs 25 lakhs for trauma centre
AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Rajiv Shukla on Thursday donated Rs 25 lakhs from MP's fund towards trauma centre to be set up at V M Desai municipal hospital where victims of bomb blasts are admitted.

MUMBAI: AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Rajiv Shukla on Thursday donated Rs 25 lakhs from MP's fund towards trauma centre to be set up at V M Desai municipal hospital where victims of bomb blasts are admitted.
Shukla told media that the trauma centre would be set up a cost of Rs 1 crore and he had donated the initial amount of Rs 25 lakhs. The balance shall be arranged by obtaining special permission from the concerned authorities.
Shukla, who was accompanied by former Maharashtra minister Kripashankar Singh, also visited Vakola area in suburban Santacruz to meet the family of a victim who was killed in the mishap.
The Congress MP assured the family members of the blast victim, Shankar Gupta, that he would also help them secure jobs, Singh said.
