Rajiv Gauba to hold additional charge of I&B Secretary till September 25

NEW DELHI: Urban Development Secretary Rajiv Gauba will hold the additional charge of Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Ministry, till September 25.

The competent authority has approved additional charge of the post to Gauba, as I&B Secretary Ajay Mittal was on medical leave, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training ( DoPT) said.

In another order, the Appointments Committee of Cabinet has appointed Yellapantula Mallikarjun as Officer on Special Duty to Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu.

Mallikarjun has been appointed to the post till March 26, 2019, i.e., the date on which he attains the age of 60 years, the DoPT order said.
