Rajinikanth will enter politics, says Hindu Makkal Katchi leader who met superstar

In an hour-long interaction, Sampath urged the actor to enter politics soon.
Sampath said, “Tamil Nadu has been suffering under the Dravidian rule for the last 50 years. I told Rajinikanth that his service was much required for the people of Tamil Nadu, given the current political context."
Sampath said, “Rajinikanth said the system is corrupt. We know only he can fix it and bring about an alternative politics. When we asked Rajinikanth to enter politics, he said he is in preparation for the same. He said that he would feel guilty if he ends up not doing anything. He told me that he wants to realise his pet project of interlinking Himalayan and peninsular rivers into one national grid. And that it was possible only if he enters politics.”
Rajinikanth and Sampath also had discussions over spirituality. Sampath said, “Apart from politics, we also talked about Tamil saints like Nayanars and Alvars. We spoke about Swami Sachchidanand Saraswati and Dayanand Saraswati. Rajinikanth is an ardent disciple of Dayanand.”
Hindu Makkal Katchi general secretary Rama Ravikumar and youth wing general secretary D Gurumurthy also met the actor.
